Austin, Texas Report
The first of a series of “warning messages” to our nation was launched this past weekend in Austin, Texas. The event was a huge success! As with any journey, it is important to take the first step. We will now move on to the next Capitals (check the website for the schedule) in the weeks that follow.
The condition of our nation is much more serious than any of us realize. We are told in Ezekiel the 33rd chapter to sound a warning if we realize danger is coming. This puts the burden on us to do our duty in sounding this alarm. This initiative is an effort to warn our nation before it is too late. It is very inspiring to feel the presence of God in presenting these messages. The reaction of those attending and in those who just happened to be there was very positive. One of the security guards who were at the capital said, “it is about time someone said something about the state of our nation.”
We will never be effective in preaching the gospel until we become the news! If we are imitating the early Church our actions will be noticed. This meeting was covered by KEYE a “CBS affiliate” reporter. He was very friendly and asked some very good and probing questions. One of the questions he asked was “why have we become a Godless society? A question like that opens the door for speaking very boldly about some important issues in our country.
Although we were very pleased with this first meeting, improvements will be made. Some of those are:
- We will attempt to tape record more of the comments made by individuals and reporters at future meetings. We can then add those audio comments to the web page.(hear the messages given on website, under ”Capitol Reports”)
- We will increase our efforts to let local churches know about these meetings.
- We will increase our efforts with press releases to all local media.
- The messages will become a lot stronger and to the point in future meetings.
Check the schedule to see where future meetings will be held. If you are close, come by and give your public support to these meetings. If you live too far away, let people you know in those areas about these meetings.
